Our Course

How does GMAT Prep Now compare with other test prep companies?

We're incredibly proud of this course. Each video lesson (over 500 videos altogether) was carefully scripted, illustrated and recorded to maximize learning and retention. We think it’s one of the best GMAT courses available, and we're delighted to share it with you. Also, be sure to check out our comprehensive Study Guide!

Does your program prepare me for every aspect of the GMAT?

The Study Guide includes learning activities (videos, reading and practice questions) that cover all of the required concepts for the Quantitative, Verbal, Integrated Reasoning, and Analytical Writing Assessment sections of the GMAT.  The Learning Guide also features opportunities for you to develop the proper mindset for taking the GMAT with confidence.

I have just begun my GMAT preparation. Are your videos suitable for me?

This course takes you from novice to expert.  Every lesson module begins with the basic concepts, which helps you build a strong foundation before learning more advanced concepts.

I need a very high GMAT score. Are your videos suitable for me?

The videos teach you how to tackle questions at ALL levels of difficulty.  If the GMAT test a particular topic, we cover that topic.  Because the videos cover all of the topics tested, they’re suitable for everyone.

What are the technical requirement for viewing GMAT Prep Now videos?

Essentially, if you’re able to view the free videos on the site, then your computer has the required software. The videos are hosted on Vimeo, a popular video host, so it's very rare that students are unable to view them. Having said that, residents of China are unable to view the videos, because the Chinese government has blocked Vimeo (along with many other websites).

Can I download the videos to my computer?

No.  The videos are available only in streaming format.

How many hours of videos are in the entire GMAT Prep Now course?

The total running time of the 500+ videos is over 35 hours.

Do you have practice questions other than the video practice questions?

Yes. Beneath most video lessons (e.g., the lesson on Mean, Median and Mode),  there are links to a wide variety of practice questions in the Reinforcement Activities box. In addition to those questions, you'll also find links more practice questions at the bottom of several modules (e.g., the Sentence Correction module.)

As I work my way through the Learning Guide, is my progress saved?

Yes.  The next time you log in, you will see which activities you have completed.

How long will it take me to complete the activities in the Learning Guide?

Some students spread their GMAT preparation over several months; others complete the activities in a matter of weeks.  To adequately prepare for the GMAT, most students should plan to spend two to four months studying.

To reach my GMAT target score, how many hours do I need to study?

This depends on your current abilities.  Early in the Study Guide, you are directed to take a practice test to get a baseline score.  The greater the distance between your baseline score and your target score, the longer you must study.  The study time required will also depend on how effectively you study.  The Study Guide provides a focused approach that helps you maximize the effectiveness of every minute you spend studying.

Computer-Adaptive Tests (CATs)

Do you have your own computer-adaptive practice tests?

No. However, we do provide links to several practice tests on the Practice Tests page.

Note: The best computer-adaptive practice tests are the free and paid tests created by the official GMAT test-makers.  These CATs feature official GMAT questions, so they provide the most accurate assessment of your abilities.

How many times can I take the official CATs (computer adaptive tests) found in the GMATPrep software?

Each test draws questions from a different database of questions.  Since the number of questions in each database is finite, you will see repeated questions, but not enough so that you shouldn’t take each test more than once.

For more information, please read the article “Taking the GMATPrep Practice Tests Multiple Times.”
