Can we assume straight line BC & AE, If a figure is not drawn to scale?

Great question!

On the GMAT (regardless of whether the figure is drawn to scale), all lines that APPEAR to be straight can be assumed to be straight.

hi, would you be able to explain the last part - how does 2/9 x (60pi) = 40pi/3?

Let's break the process into two steps
(2/9) x (60pi) = (2/9) x (60pi/1)
= 120pi/9
= 40pi/3 [we took 120pi/9 and divided top and bottom by 3]
