The rule applies to any set
The rule applies to any set of equally-spaced numbers.
Take, for example, the set: {10, 15, 20, 25}
Here, the mean = 17.5 and the median = 17.5
Now consider the set: {6, 9, 12, 15, 18}
Here, the mean = 12 and the median = 12
